Our President

Welcome to all members and potential members.  We had a successful steak fry on August 22, 2001.  We would like to encourage all members to attend not only the general membership meetings but also the Board of Directors meetings that take place the first Friday of every month.  See the schedule below.  This year, we are scheduling speakers at our meetings based on the questionnaire that was submitted to the attendees at the June officer installation banquet.  We have heard your requests and we are bringing in speakers to talk on vibrant new subjects that are of interest to the group.  We are hoping that this will also attract PEs who are not currently members to attend meetings and joint the society.  One other new feature this year is the membership drawing at each general membership meeting.  The names of all members are on tags in a jar and at each meeting, we draw the name of one lucky winner.  If he or she is in attendance, he or she will win the prize envelope.  So far this year, the winner hasn't been in attendance so we haven't given out the prize yet.  Come to our next meeting and see who's name is drawn.  Don't forget our upcoming EFO programs this year.  We are going to do the MathCounts program this year as well as many other popular programs that are a big attraction to our members.
