The Ohio
Society of Professional Engineers is the state's leading professional
engineering organization representing all disciplines and divisions of
the engineering practice: industry, private practice, government,
construction and education.
OSPE was founded in 1878 to promote ethical professional conduct,
increase professional and engineering education standards, and to
advance public health, safety and welfare. Members come from every
technical discipline in engineering. Through our 20 chapters, we
work closely with Ohio's State Board of Registration for Professional
Engineers and Surveyors to improve registration laws and their
administration, and to help enforce legal and professional standards.
OSPE is a state affiliate of the National Society of Professional
Engineers, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. With the support
of OSPE and the other state society organizations, NSPE unites more than
65,000 professional engineers nationwide.
